Hellohihey! Me llamo Maxwell aka MaDMaX aka MDMX and I find myself quite keen on music that tickles mi noggin in a psychedelic way. Over the past year, from my cultural island dubbed the Black Hills of South Dakota, I scoured the internet for sonic reverberations that resonated with my soul, altered my expectations, moved my body, and invigorated my mind. This journey traversed over 1,420 musical releases (all from 2022) and was equal parts meditating and challenging, not only to my attention span and production knowledge, but also to my philosophical notions of culture, time, genre, style, and aesthetics. I wanted to share these discoveries with YOU while utilizing a critical lens and yet remaining constructive to our loving community.
