Hellohihey! Me llamo Maxwell aka MaDMaX aka MDMX and I review music for Swampwoofer's Deep State Audio blog and the ART ERA blog. Over the last year, from my cultural island dubbed the Black Hills of South Dakota, I scoured the internet for sonic reverberations that resonated with my soul, altered my expectations, moved my body, and invigorated my mind. This journey traversed over 420 musical releases (all from 2021) and was quite challenging, not only to my attention span and production knowledge, but also to my notions of culture, time, and genre/style. I wanted to share these discoveries with YOU while utilizing a critical lens and yet remaining constructive to our loving community.
